Many health benefits are associated with regular exercise, for most people physical exercise should not pose a problem or hazard. There are a certain amount of risks and benefits associated with any type of physical activity, this PAR-Q is a simple self-screening tool that is designed to help uncover any potential health risks associated with exercise.


    1. Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor?

    2. Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?

    3. In the past month, have you had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity?

    4. Do you lose your balance because of dizziness or do you ever lose consciousness?

    5. Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example, back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in physical activity?

    6. Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart condition?

    7. Are you pregnant?

    8. Have you given birth in the last 16 weeks?

    9. Do you know of any reason why you should not do physical activity?

    If you have answered YES to any of the above questions, then you are required to gain consent from your doctor before participating in the class or personal training session.

    If you have answered NO to all of the above questions and you have reasonable assurance of your suitability for:

    A group exercise to music session or personal training session – which will include: a warm up, a main component (consisting of a mixture of cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance exercises) and cool down with stretches.

    You are advised to postpone entry into the programme if you feel unwell or have a temporary illness. You must inform the CLM fitness instructor/PT of any changes to your health status, whilst engaged in your exercise sessions.

    Class updates (including but not limited to changes, cancellations, etc).

    24 hour cancellation policy (explained when booking- if less than 24 hours notice is given for cancelling class/PT Session- session cannot be refunded or moved).

    Marketing emails (including but not limited to newsletters, promotions, offers, etc).
